Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Manual trans owners in here: Fav shifters and knobs?
So right now i have a umi short stick and a hurst eight ball on my stock t56 shifter. Im looking to see what others on the site like and use!?
I am also considering buying a MGW shifter and a SLP leather knob. Any input and favorites would be appreciated.

I've had quite a few and always come back to the Hurst "H" knob.
I want the c6 knob like @mcalus had. Seems like it'd be the most comfortable.
Yeah the slp and the "h" are the same. I just dont want the "H" one because i dont have any Hurst parts. And i guess im just weird i just dont care for the C6 knob because the pattern on the knob is on a slant and the fact that it doesn't just screw on to the 4th gen sticks

I'm lucky enough to have the OEM Hurst shifter and knob. The stick has been replaced with the WS6Store stick which I really like. Feel is almost as good as the Miata's stock shifter and the throw is a bit shorter.
Nick knows my love for the c6 knobs. I wouldn't go with a different knob.
Nick, you should call or email that company I sent you. I'm sure they still have or make the screw on style I had.

Stock stick with a blue ball that has the shift pattern on it. Liking it so far.
If you go another route and don't need that stick, I'd like to buy it/take it from you
I dont have a stick car, but out of everything ive driven.... I would have to say the hurst is my favorite, obviously with a short stick, and the H/SLP knob. If I ever got a t56 car thats what id have. Ive only used one MGW shifter but I was NOT a fan. Felt very blah compared to the hurst.
I have the leather hurst knob on a MGW shifter. Wouldn't drive anything else. This MGW makes the transmission feel so solid and modern, it's night and day.
Thanks for the input everyone I still don't really know what I'm going to do for a shifter but I defiantly want a slp knob.
