When I accelerate slow all is well. When I accelerate quickly it slams pretty hard when it shifts gears. This is an A4. More likely the tranny mount, or universal joint?

^^ this. Mine's doing the same thing. My torque arm mount isn't too old so I just bought a new trans mount.

I bought a poly tranny mount, but it's too cold! I'll check the torque arm when I get time

I wouldn't recommend running a poly trans mount with standard engine mounts. I prefer use a softer mount for the trans, especially in manual cars. There have been times where I used an equal or harder material, but only out of necessity.

This is an auto car. I was told the poly would cause some more vibration, but wouldn't hurt anything.
