It's getting time for a new clutch. I have one picked out already. I plan on replacing the slave and master cylinder at the same time. I've done the drill mod to mine and it worked for a bit, but its sticking again. So my question is this. Is it worth the money for the Tick or any other performance brand stuff or is the 2002 just as good. I thought I red that GM fixed the problems for the newer stuff.

I used an Autozone slave cyl and LS7 clutch and it works great. No problems with my clutch since it was put in.

I plan on adding power to her at some point most likely not till some happeneds to it. My buddy just put a tick master in his car and he swears it changed the whole feel of the car. Shifts are instant now. He had done the drill mod and tried several fluids/bleeding before that and it never shifted as good as my car.
This is one very good thing about owning an LT1 car. Hydraulics are its own remote (removable without disconnecting any lines) system and they function far superior from the factory.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; July 24th, 2014, 01:21 PM.-Joel

Dont forget the speed bleeder while you're in there.

To add to Dave's comment - if you are going to keep the 10 bolt stay with a LS7 clutch. No need for a clutch that holds more power when the 10 bolt can give up at anytime.2000 Formula

Good thread, I will be needing this info soon too. So the Tick master is adjustable, so you can adjust the engagement point in the pedal travel, right?Comment

The tick master is not really designed to change the engagement point. It changes the volume of fluid that is pushed so you need to be careful of over extending the slave/pressure plate fingers. The engagement point is a physical property of the clutch and pressure plate fingers.
You can "trick" the engagement point/clutch height by lengthening the rod (ie Ram adjustable master) but it still pushes the same amount of fluidComment
