Verify tooth pattern, first time gear install

    My backlash is suppose to be between .007" and .009". after mutitple different angles I got a consistent .009"
    Here is my pattern.

    Looks to be a little close to the root. I'd go .002 less on the pinion shim and check again. Repeat if necessary to get it centered.

      You are close, but the Pinion is too deep.

        Thanks for the help guys, I did a couple more set ups and this is my pattern with .004 off the pinion. adjusted my backlash to 7.

            I felt good about it to and I verified the pattern with what motive recommends and seems to look good. I just need this to last until I can get enough together for a 9in. Thanks for help.
