Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I ran one in my 700r4. It worked great. Although I have nothing to compare it to other than stock. Get on ls1tech, there are a ton of reviews on them (good reviews). The only people bashing them are the guys that haven't used one.
They say you get what you pay for but people seem to like them.

It was better than stock, I got it on sale during one of their promotions for like $450 shipped, so it was not a bad deal.
I now have a Yank SS3600, I gained about 2 tenths and a few mph with only the converter change.
If your goal is to get the best et out of your car, I would look into a Yank, Circle D, Vigilante, or PTC. If you just want a decent converter to wake the car up a bit, a Revmax should do the trick.
I had one in my 1994 zeeman owns the car now it was a good converter i had a 3000k stall.

My suggestion is to stay away from converters for 4l60/4l80's with a ring gear attached like the one in this link. http://www.revmaxconverters.com/inde...rter-1683.html
They are using the stock mounting pads and attaching a ring gear. Clutch is normally too small to handle any capacity.
Precision has a link that explains a little bit about ring gears. http://converter.com/why.htm

Truth. I kept blowing the lockup clutch out of the several I had that were setup like that. Went with a Yank this last time, VERY pleased!
