  • question about rotating assembly balancing and i need a shop, can anyone recommend on

first off i need a machine shop to do hot tank, cam bearings, freeze plugs and blance it if needed. i say if needed because the only thing being replaced is the rod and main bearings, i know last time i got something balanced everything was new and had to be done with each other, now im just using all the same stuff that cam out of the engine minus bearings because everything else checked out fine and true.

so if im using the same balancer, flywheel, rods and crank and such that came out of the engine and only replacing bearings do i desperately need to get it re balanced? its not a race motor not revving to the sky or anything like that.

1st question. There are alot of shops that can hot tank and install the cam bearings and freeze plugs. Understand hot tanking will not clean the block to look new. If thats what your looking for then you want it thermal cleaned.

    2nd question.
No you do not need to get your rotati g assembly balanced. Unless you have changed something. ( rods, crank, rod bolts)

No just want the thick layer of grime off it and a semi clean base to rebuild and clean passages and all that
