I think you typo'd that stall -- 2600? I have 3600 and I have a smaller cam and mine is 100% streetable. 2600 is basically a "Why even bother wasting your money" mod.... If you're going to spend your money on a stall, get something more.

Honestly, I think you're doing this 100% wrong and you will hate the results. You're questioning whether or not you need roller rockers on a cam that size? If you're going to get that cam, you need to do it right and get the proper supporting hardware to handle it. Otherwise you're going to be breaking stuff or run like shit... At the very least you're going to need hardened push rods, hefty springs, roller rockers, bigger fuel injectors, stall, tune, etc....

By the time you get your heads off and machined I am sure you will have had time to find a cam. Since you plan on doing everything else, you may as well get a cam that will give you real gains in a realistic power band for street driving.

Well i talked to a guy on here who is running the
Exact same cam in his 355 lt1 and he said hes running
Great on the cam with 11:5:1 compression.

So next question how can i check my compression ratio
          With my heads ON

Sounds like you have a lot of reading to do... I just went threw a cam swap in my SBC and really got in much deeper then I originally planned. You cant just pop in a different cam and go, it just doesnt work that way. I did it on the most budget way I could, since my bottom end was practically new and I still ended up with different heads, roller rockers, new timing chain, new MSD ignition, etc etc. Plan on getting in much deeper then you originally think. Take whatever $$ amount your thinking and double that and you probably will still need more.

Yeah, I mean even for the CC503 you'll need the same hardware I listed. When I did the CC503 cam I still got 1.6 roller rockers, new valve springs and all new hardware associated with it (seats, lockers, etc), new valve seals (optional), new rocker studs, hardened push rods, new lifters (these would be optional), fuel injectors (may be optional, but I was told I should just get the 30# injectors to be safe), and then the tune...

In all reality, I would set aside at least $3,000 to do it. If you want the cheapest, easiest option, then an LT4 hot cam kit may be your best bet.

I got away with much cheaper, but I got very lucky on part costs. I didn't have to buy a converter though.

Lunati 74818K5 valve spring kit is what I'm running. I have Edelbrock heads though, not sure if they will fit LT1 spring pockets. The head guru I go to had no problem with me using them although he had to use +.100 valves to get proper install height.

LT1's have pretty good compression in stock form. Milling and thinner gaskets (Impala SS gaskets?) will help.

The swap won't be cheap by any means. $100 for hardened pushrods, $200 for the cheapest 1.6 roller rockers that I'd run, $250 for spring kit, etc etc etc. Then add in labor to get the heads ready. Then injectors, then converter (cha-ching!), then tune. If all that goes right, then soon a quiality rebuilt transmission
