  • HELP: LT1 Timing chain

Okay so i am trying to find a good billet single roller timing chain for my 1994 LT1 383 build. Problem is there really are not any good billet timing chains for the older style opti. My dilemma is am i better off upgrading to the newer opti or running a steel timing chain. I am doing away with the mechanical water pump so it doesn't need the gear for that just need the key-way in the middle of the cam gear for the opti drive. I really do not want to put any more money into the opti at this point, if i wasn't held back by my Trans needing to be upgraded to 96-97 parts to do the ls1 pcm swap i would just assume get rid of the opti but i figure i can just leave the opti until i can do the pcm swap.

So just to sum this all up does someone know of a chain (that i cannot find) that i can run in my 383 that is a billet single roller and works with 1994 opti-fails?

Thanks ahead of time for any input!!
