Any one know if they're good? Wondering on what it could handle

there isn't really anything you can do to a 10 bolt to make it last any longer its just a crapshoot, spin the wheel and try your luck.

Agreed. I wouldn't spend a single dime on a 10 bolt. Stock ones have gone 10's and "built" ones have broken on the street with 300hp. It really is just a crapshoot

Unfortunately, the only other alternative costs about $2600
When in doubt, Whip it out !

I put a girdle on more for looks than anything else (it looked good when the rear was out ) In theory they will help, but the ring/pinion usually break teeth before the caps let go.

been there! broke teeth on Richmond 4:10 gear. put factory 3:42s back in. I was taking to a guy that runs his car alot at the strip and was talking to him about how the 10bolt hold up. He said great I get some good longevity and when they break he goes and gets one out of a yard for 100ish and installs it. This has to occur about 20 times before he is in the 12bolt price range! and to break 20 10bolts will take a quite a few years!

I have a friend that does that with Jeeps. The only problem with that is not everyone wants to be consistently wrenching on there stuff. After taking my trans out 4 times I was pretty burnt out. I couldn't imagine 20.

except for the tow bill from the strip or wherever every time and the time he has to put into the swap, sounds kind of pointless and likely to break other parts as well. Fix it right.
