Well ****. New rotors, pads and passenger side caliper. Pass side still hot as shit, drivers side cool to the touch. I drove the exact route as previous test drives. Out to the shop it goes, has to be something wrong with the passenger side end housing replacement. I have no other clue as to what could be wrong.sigpic

Thanks dude! I just have to drop the car off at the shop. They are going to look at it and figure out what is wrong and repair free. There is an issue with that end housing they put on causing excessive heat.. LOL, I think I have less than 300 miles on my car this year...Originally posted by Formula Z View Postthis sucks man. you have not had very good luck with this swap. hope its over soon. if anything i can do to help just let me knowsigpic

Well I know they ordered a shortened passenger axle just for this reason, but then they had to replace the end housing again. So it is possible they lost a little more and the shaft is to far in causing a load..Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postcrosspin in the center of the diff. if they cut that axle tube a hair short when removing the old end maybe the shaft is bottoming out and the bearing is getting loaded when the bearing retainer is tightenedsigpic

if that's the case, the fix might be just to grind a few thousandths off of the end of the axle shaft. Just might be a quick and easy fix. You definitely deserve one. When in doubt, Whip it out !
