Operation Clutch replacement

Started feeling a little better.

Got the car up in the air and got everything undone, and then had my dad come over and finish pulling the trans.

The clutch looks good - it's just wore out. It's at discard thickness. The pressure plate is done, and the flywheel is in good condition (just needs a clean up pass).

Monster gave me a great deal on a new 11" race disc, pressure plate and slave.

Hopefully it'll be here the beginning of next week and I can get this thing back together.

125 mile break in on the race disc - then he said to let it eat it

Just remember DO NOT touch either side of the clutch disc with your hands. Use brake cleaner to clean the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces.

They call it a race disk - it's still a ceramic compound. Steve at Monster says it grabs pretty hard, but is still very street able.

Might have to grab a couple clicks on the compression and rebound settings - but we'll see how hard it hits the tires

Got bored today - so I installed the tunnel mount and bottle....needs plumbed and wired of course, but it's a start.

Took it for a ride tonight. Still need to wire up the spray and put the interior back together...

The clutch engages quick and seems to grab hard. Pedal is very light - and no chatter so far.

Pro 5.0 is badass too!
