    Hearing a nasty noise/missing in high RPMs after a tranny fluid/filter change

    Does anyone know why I could be hearing a nasty noise and why my tranny could be missing in high RPMs after a fluid/filter change? I've put in just over 4 quarts of Mobil 1 ATF and the dipstick reads halfway between warm and hot... this is not ideal, as I leave for Florida tonight...

    Correct filter ? Did it fall off . Stock pan?

      doesnt the trans take wayyy more than 4qts of fluid? i thought it was 10 or 12? could be wrong tho

        Not for a fluid change. Total yes but not for a pan drop

          It was the correct filter. We bent the seal a little to make it a tighter fit. Stock pan...
