    ID my trans?

    I got this trans off of a built 327. Was in a malibu. I have looked for numbers, but have found very few markings. I do have some pics though. I was told its a universal trans, for chevy. pontiac and buick motors. Looking for more info, as i have very little knowledge on all the different trans's and how to tell them apart.















    Looking for any info i can get on this. I can get more pics and info if necessary. This is one, of the many, areas I am looking forward to learning more information.

    Also-

    I heard, on this trans, with my 305 chevy motor, in my 79 T/A, this trans, with the short tail, is what I want.

    Looking forward to hearing much more info than what I have found so far.

      So I have a 3 speed. Thanks for the clarification. I really had no clue what I was buying, other than it worked on a 327 in a malibu.
