The car had a rattle, gets louder the more I let out the clutch. It also bucks like a bronco...I didn't have this problem before, and a lot has changed since my last joy ride around the neighborhood.
Built 355, T5, 2.73 rear, stock cross member and torque arm, nothing after the Hooker 2055 y-pipe, stock mounts - no problems
Same motor, same trans, UMI cross member/torque arm setup with driveshaft loop, 3.42 gear, full catback exhaust, poly trans mount - big problems.
I just installed poly motor mounts, raised the motor about 3/8". It helped to move the passenger side header ball flange away from the rear a-arm mount but only a 1/4" at most. Same problems. I'm betting that the bucking has to do more with the gear change, but the rattle is pissing me off. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger side near the rear of the motor.
Ideas? I will be rechecking the pinion angle again although I'm fairly certain it is right at -2*. The aluminum DS was hitting the loop so I used the hydraulic ram to move it over a bit and I put the steel one back in for now.
