Ground, just like always. Having coilovers up front I've gotten use to measuring the 4 corners to see how the car is sitting and know it should be around 27.5" to the top of the wheel well from the floor. Both fronts and pass rear are currently 27.5. Drivers rear is 29.25". Going to check the shock later, if it's not a bent shock, then going to try switching springs from side to side.. Going back to bed, I shouldn't be awake. lol If none of this make a lot of sense it is because I only slept 4 hours..Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostAre you checking the height with the car on the ground or just with the floor jack under the pumpkin?sigpic

Larry check the springs on the rearend perches. the ends of both springs must be in the same position or your car won't sit level. IE: end of springs both facing forward. Some one told us that when we did B's rear end and springs.sigpic

That's what I did yesterday Larry. Both springs are sitting exactly the same on perch. Heading out now to put it back in the air and look around again..Originally posted by Plum Nuts View PostLarry check the springs on the rearend perches. the ends of both springs must be in the same position or your car won't sit level. Good news, shock is good. Bad news, no progress.. I did some further checking, hung a line with a weight off the 1/4 panels and measured to the axle face, drivers side 4 3/4", pass side 4". So I am a little off on centering.. More bad news, I thought I had checked this everytime but maybe not. I noticed today the drivers side tire is getting hung up on the bumpstop(which explains why drivers side sat high), passenger side is not. EDIT: I need to move the drivers side over(away from bumpstop) 3/8" to center axle.. So I should clear bumpstop once moved.
Edit: Fred, I did measure from wheel well to center of axle when supported completely by the jack. both sides were 17".Last edited by OIF1VET; March 21st, 2012, 09:42 AM.sigpic

Re-center it, ditch the bump stops and see how things look. It's a pain in the ass - I know. You need to make sure the rearend isn't binding after you center it as well.
If I could make it over to help I would.....don't think it's gonna happen.2000 Formula

Thanks Jeremy, I know you would help in a heartbeat.. I already removed the drivers bumpstop.. and will center rear.. But I am done for now, need to rest the brain.. I'm missing something obvious..Originally posted by Nocooler View PostRe-center it, ditch the bump stops and see how things look. It's a pain in the ass - I know. Edit: Just realized I was thinking backwards.. Drivers side 4 3/4", Pass side 4". I need to move drivers side away from bumpstop to center rear.. Which, in theory, should fix my issue..sigpic

Alright hooked up ARB, centered it on axle and tightened U bolts.. Left adj rods loose but attached. Sat car back down, I was with in 1/2" now. IIRC I was 28 Pass, 28.5 driver side. Axle is also centered now.. I measured each Adj rod length center of bolt to center, drivers side was 7" long, Pass side 8".. Done for the day, need a little down time before work..
Edit: After talking to Sean I am going to do the heater hose mod to drop it that 1/2 to 3/4" I need to come down. I had no idea a 9" would raise my car that much..Last edited by OIF1VET; March 21st, 2012, 01:19 PM.sigpic
