  • What kind of power should I expect?

Hey guys, looking for some opinions here. About to pull the engine in my '76 which is a crate 350 w/ about 20k miles on it thats 10 years old. Basically im looking to list what im doing and get opinions on the HP I should make. Im hoping for 300-325 hp at the flywheel.

    Engine:
    5.7 350 4 bolt main
    4 inch bore/3.47 inch stroke
    1.94 intake/1.50 exhaust valves
    862 76cc heads
    8.5:1 compression

This engine is what I have:

    Cam Specs (Lunati Barebones 10000LK):
    Cam Style Hydraulic flat tappet
    Basic Operating RPM Range 1,000-5,000
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift 204
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift 214
Duration at 050 inch Lift 204 int./214 exh.
    Advertised Intake Duration 270
    Advertised Exhaust Duration 280
    Advertised Duration 270 int./280 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.420 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.443 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.420 int./0.443 exh.
    Lobe Separation (degrees) 112

    Edelbrock Performer Intake
    Edelbrock 1405 600 cfm 4 barrel carb
Headers w/o cats w/ true duels (2.5 inch all the way back)
    Open air cleaner

I think thats it, what kind of power do you think it should make at the flywheel?
Also, what may be a more benefitial question is what do you think the power gain will be with my set up over that small cam it comes with and a stock q-jet carb w/ a stock restrictive air cleaner housing?

Wondering since the engine says 195+ hp but also says 260 hp.... Ive already ordered and recieved the new carb, cam, etc so just seeing what I can expect.

    Thanks!
