              • If you are still looking for a cheap set of rods check these out. (P/N 12604857) They are the Cadillac CTS-V LSA rods. Still powdered metal but they are alot beefier then a standard ls2 rod. I have seen these LSA motors running 750 whp. And I am sure they will take more than that. Not a forged aftermarket piece but not expensive like one either and if you plan to stay under 800 hp why not toss them in with some good hardware.

                http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=12604857 $26.51 per rod.

Plus they look stock so take a few pics. Who could argue without a micrometer.

Wonder what the weight difference is.....might be able to sneak by without a re balance if it's close.

Mike - I'd be glad to help.....but I don't think I'll be able to with the baby on the way next week.

                  • thanks for the offer man. with us having done this before a couple times i dont think we will have much issues, but its always cool to have some friends around and wrenching. ill consider those rods if i need to but hoping my rods are still ok

                              • Need help?! I'm at Charlie's for the weekend so I wouldn't mind swinging over and wrenching on a 4th gen. And yes I know how to wrench ask Charlie.
