  • Finally ordered a new rear

It's far from ready, no pics or anything I just put my order in for a MWC 9" about 2 weeks ago. Ordered with the works: PST d/s, wavetrac, thru-bolt aluminum center, watts links, and much much more. Figured I'll order in the winter since the WS6 will be stored away while the rear is being built. So the 2-3 month wait time won't be nerve wrecking. Plus I can avoid breaking anymore 10-bolts, I can't risk any chance of myself being behind the wheel with a 10-bolt, and the Mcleoud rst shows no mercy after going through 2 rears and a stock d/s . Well it's a blessing, I guess this is my xmas gift to myself. I wish you all happy holidays!!!

o·vr·kill [oh-ver-kil]1. an excess of what is required or suitable, as because of zeal or misjudgment.

so why didnt you save yourself at least a grand and just go with a regular moser 9 inch with just a nodular center and a true trac or spool instead of the wave track? i mean i guess if i had the extra money to do it i would as well but if i didnt plan on making a shit load of power then thats a bit Brentish (overkill)

You're right but I wanted the best strength and handling I could get. Something that'll be streetable and as close to bulletproof as possible. Wavetrac was the answer especially for a street/strip car. And I'm definitely planning on making north of 500rwhp in the future.

.....great, first a smilie now this.

              Overkill defined in the dictionary:

"an excess of what is required or suitable, as because of zeal or misjudgment"

              ....in case anyone was wondering

understood.. but u could still have saved a bunch by going with just a regular moser 9 inch housing.. they can take well north of 650rwhp..

i wouldnt use a non backbraced or nod case in a speed that hooks with over 450hp
His axle is exactly what i was gonna order(without Watts)

Definitely...their watts and lca will come in handy at any track. Looking forward to doing some laps at Waterford Hills next year

Actually I was a second away from pulling the trigger on a perfectly good moser 9" but I reconciled, I had to have a MWC 9". When you're spending money like this, you have to get what you want. I'm very happy with my decision that's for sure. I do blame all the pics on tech and damn skippy happy customers though
