friday i noticed on my way home from work after tranny was a lil warmer (200ish), that at a steady speed on a flat road say at 65mph that the rpms would climb 400 maybe 500 rpms and catch again. or if i touched the pedal it would grab the gears again. if the temp stays lower then 200 it works perfect. on the way to m&g on saturday i had no issues for 200+ miles. on the way home it did it once. dont know if lockup is failing or what. any ideas? funny it does it only at 200 degrees or above, which isnt even too hot

What stall do you have in there? Sounds like the clutch is slipping. When in doubt, Whip it out !

yeah fluid check was first thing i did. seems clean and doesnt smell burnt and its right where its supposed to be at operating temp. just funny how it does it only after temp is above 200. need to scan it while in od and see if lockup is actually kicking out or if its just slipping. hey dustin can you get that scan tool from work again??

Trans - radiator - cooler - then back to the trans.
Bet your temps will drop a bit. The radiator will pull a lot of the heat out and then then cooler will drop it further.2000 Formula

Check TCC duty when its "slipping". If I understand this correctly, its the amount of force/pressure used to engage the lockup clutch. Factory tune should drop it to almost nothing when off the gas. Most aftermarket tuners set it to max, or around 100. How solid does your lockup feel? Like a whole nother shift or a slushy kind of engagement?1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

lockup feels like another shift. it holds strong when accelerating, just at a steady cruise, on flat land, with no load on it, it occasionally will rev 300 to 400 rpms and catch itself but only after 200 degrees. i will see about a scanner hopefully soon. thanks for all the help guys. keep the ideas comingsigpic
