    help identifying a rearend

    what would be the rearend in a stock firebird?

    like the 83 I had

      8.8 is a ford rear end, iirc. Should be a 10 bolt. Probably with 2.73 gears?

        someone said that they made 7.5s and what not in these years, any idea where I can find out? I know GM had a 8.5 too

          It's a 7.5 or sometimes referred to as a 7.625, 10 bolt.
