  • LT1/ LS1 Trans

i was wondering if anyone knew if i could take a 99 transmission and bolt it up to my 96 lt1, i know the computer will control it and it will bolt up but if im using an ls1 transmission i need to use the ls1 torque converter also, what i do not know is, will a ls1 torque converter bolt up to a lt1 flexplate?

I believe its possible but you have to switch a lot of parts.

Going to be much easier to sell it and buy a LT1 trans. You may even make money on the deal.

didnt buy one, was thinking about it. found a 99 on craigslist for 175 out of a jimmy, i thought that if it would mate up to the flex plate i would be ok, i did research and everything will bolt up and the pcm will run it but the flexplate might not match so i was looking on here for opinions
