  • 4l60e trans problems

Having some trouble with my fresh rebuilt 4l60e trans..First it is a 95 trans (with pwm) in a 94 z28,I am using the 95 pcm and converted my m6 harness over to a a4..I am getting trouble code 84,which is control solenoid circuit.Basically I am not getting lock up I believe or no over drive.I replaced one solenoid which I thought was the problem.Well go it all back together and still not working correct..Anyone have any input as to what I coould try next?Any help appreciated.

called my buddy he said check the valves in the valve body, im hoping thats correct like i thought, he inserted a valve backwards and didn't have 4th gear (overdrive)

installed the 3-4 relay valve into the body the wrong way.

How many switches are on the brake pedal?..I think I may have figured out the problem.

honestly not sure. I'd have to look at the white Z. and how dark it is i won't be able to see anything.

Yes that is the cover I need, how much do you want for it?...I figured out that the other switch is for cruise control...I need to know what color are the wires going to the brake switch? There is a 2 wire plug that goes into the switch, what color are the wires?Without that plug I wont have lock up.

does it try to go into overdrive and hit a sort of 'neutral' instead of a gear?

I have the car on jack stands, while I have the car in gear(od)giving it gas rpms are 2500 and speedometer is at 50,it dont shift into od..just reves up.I think I am missing the plug that goes on the brake switch which controls the lockup. It would make sense, thats why code 84 keeps coming up on the scanner.I have to find that 2 wire connector..
