Odd problem with the Z

Ran her pretty hard yesterday on the way home. Started her today and when I revved it a bit got a very loud shrill screetch. Seems I can feel it through the shifter.
Here's the symtoms;

Clutch pedal down trans in netural -- screetch

Clutch pedal down trans in gear -- no screetch

Clutch pedal up trans in netural -- no screetch

Took it out and drove it around the block. Heard it a couple of times. By the time I got it home the noise was completely gone. Car does have a rear main seal oil leak. Wondering if it may have had some oil leak on to the flywheel and it was the clutch screetching until it burned off. Or If I got something wet but I did not drive in rain on the way home.
I will let it cool and try it a couple more times today.

Ideas?

X2, my jeep does this randomly, I only assume thats what it is. Havent had a chance to tear it apart. Only does it once in a while, but after driving for a few it goes away.

Hadn't thought of that and it makes sense. That's easy enough to fix, thanks.

Just drove it for several miles and can't make it do it. I'll check tomorrow morning when it is completely cold again.

I'm thinking TO bearing also. Good thing it's relatively uncomplicated.
