4.10s are doable in a lockup car, but I'd stay with the 3.73s and get a converter if you don't have one already the real gains will be minimal.Doing less with more

The 700r already has a 3.06 ratio in 1st gear compared to a TH 350 which has a 2.52 ratio for 1st gear.
The TH 400 has a 2.48 1st gear.
So I don't know if you will notice much difference by changing the rear end ratio to a 4.11 from a 3.73?

You'd notice a bigger gain is restalling to say a 34-3600 than a gear change and you wouldn't lose any mpg on the highway.Doing less with more

Im with Jeff, you need more converter. I had a 3800 at one point, and i loved it. I likes me a big converter. Eric L

then some one messd up deriks car, anderson, he would go to take off or back up and really had to get on it.
now i got the 700r4 not the 4l60e would i need to tune the car with a new stall, seems like almost everything needs a tune even if you just change minor things, lolsigpic

When did you see or ride in Derek's car? Last year his converter or trans took a shit so that was probably most of the problem. Mine moves at around 2300 if I feather the throttle, leaving in a normal fashion off a light its hardly noticeable to me but w/e your happy with. I don't think you need a 4K converter but what you have now has lots of room for improvement.Doing less with more
