Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Okay so im in the process of taking my motor out to fix a few problems...well im sick of my abs unit being in the way. Especially since it doesn't work anyways. So how do i go about getting rid of it? What do i need...or have to do with all the lines that used to go into the abs unit? Thanks for any help and advice.

There is a company that makes a ABS delete kit for these cars. The company is called SJM manufacturing. The kit is less then $200.00. If you dont wanna do the kit then you can look at there kit and get some ideas! Also if you delete the abs you will want to put in an a adjustable proportioning valve to corrects unbalanced front/rear braking pressure that you would get when deleting the abs.
It is fairly simple. You need an adjustable proportioning valve and either y blocks or tee fittings to connect the brake lines and add a line lock while you are at it. Or get the kit from SJM.
It really does help to clean up the engine bay. Did mine last summer. The brakes work great and I love the room.

I know its always in the way, it scratches my slp intake, and it doesnt work so i just figure i might as well get rid of it. I really need to come down there and look at your guy shop and get some springs...you guys install springs to?

Yes we do install springs. Come on down and see us. Take a few minutes and check out the shop. There is always something cool siting around.

Yes your brakes will work without the adjustable proportioning valve but will not be 100% correct. The adjustable proportioning valve gives you the ability to properly adjust the pressure to the rear brakes.

i have deleted a few. Used to put prop valves in but lately havent been . If they are stock brakes it should be ok. Mine and many others stop fine from 140+

So all i need to do is hook my front brakes together in a T and put my rear right up and/or use a proportioning valve with rear?

yeah. i use T's with an eyelet on them and screw them to the Kmember. I havent done any lt1's so a prop valve might be a good idea. just put the valve inline with the rear line. try not to make that valve higher than the master or it will be a pain to bleed
