help needed!!! swapping in a new 10 bolt

Hey guys, my 10 bolt crapped out on me over spring break and I coming home from college next week and obviously would like to drive my camaro asap.

The local shops are looking to charge me up the ass for what i know to be a pretty simple procedure, but one that I dont have the ability to do (no jack or anything). I am only 19 and still somewhat ignorant about do-it-yourself autowork.

I am looking for someone in the Metro Detroit area (I live in Troy) to help me out here over next weekend (the 8th or 9th) with removing the old and installing the new 10 bolt i recently purchased. I would offer $100 plus reasonable gas money, as well as a helping hand.

As I said earlier, I would also need the proper jacking equipment and whatever else would make the process easier.

someone's gotta be in the southeast area of michigan that can help me out with this!!! i cannot justify paying $500+ at the shop for a somewhat simple job!!

yes, i got a great deal on one with 40k miles off an LS1 owner on ls1tech. i simply need the jacking equipment to make it happen as well as someone who knows what they are doing since im a car newbie still

I think if I were in your shoes, id use this as a good opportunity to go to harbor freight and buy a cheap jack and some cheap jack stands. A rear end isnt that hard to do by your self. Eric L
