Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I am looking for a set of 3:73's for my CETA. I see Summit has a set with thier name on them for a very decent price. Should I steer clear? They carry the Richmond brand for a few bucks more...
I am going to call them tomorrow and get the get the low-down on their brand so I'll keep you in the loop.

I choose Richmond, but I know its normally a little louder of a gear then some others.
Never heard anything about the summit brand, so I can not comment.
But I do have the Richmond gear in my car, and I have had no problems at all.
Richmond has are known to be more noisy than others. I would stick with AAM's for your car..they are the OE manufacturer. I just bought Motive's for my 9 inch only because I could not find Ford Motorsport gears. If noise is your concern, it's always good to go with OE. I would be very leary of using Summit brand gears due to the price. When it comes to gears, you truely get what you pay for. The more expensive gears are that way because they have more machine work done on them. IE...it's a good idea to buy gear sets that have been "lapped in" by the manufactuer.

Richmond and Motive are both good but you will pay a higher price for them. Allstar also has an excellent quality gear set at an affordable price. We have used all three brands of gears with no problems.
We meet and beat Summit and Jegs prices.
Give us a call.

Thanks Gary,
I talked with Mark at EVI about this earlier this year. I had the CETA out yesterday and stopped at the Swartz Creek shop to do some talking but they just pointed me to the Lapeer office. I will give you a call tomorrow. I want to get the gears in before I have it tuned so having you do the change is probably my best option.
