3.42's or 3.73's????

Didnt the SS come with 3.23's? or could you get taller gears?

My mom's SS has 3.42s and its an auto, '98.

Well if its a posi just jack the rear, put car in neutral and spin either the wheel and count driveshaft rotations, or spin the driveshaft until the wheels go around once.

Kammi....I would go with 3.42's....but that's just me.....I've had both in my car and I like the 3.42's alot better than the 3.73....but I have a 6 speed and a set-up that builds lots of torque down low.

What cam and heads do you have?

If its an Auto go with 3:73's, if its a manual do 4:10's, thats what i was told, im getting 4:10's installed in my car right now actually
