4 gen rearend into 3 gen?

hey guys i have a question, my buddy is wanting to buy my rear end in my car, but he has a 86 iroc, would my rear still work? thanks guys i think it will bolt right up right?

I think the 4th gen. rear end is a little wider.

yes will work. but with 3rd gen wheels they will stick out really bad. but if he used 4th gen wheels it will look good.

it bolts right up just sticks 2 inches out wider on each side. and like Curt said it looks bad with thirdgen wheels...
