  • Pilot bearing, throw-out bearing question

How can you tell if your pilot bearing and or throw-out bearing are heading south?

If your pilot bearing is going out you would hear a noise mostly when the clutch pedal is depressed to the floor... because the flywheel is still spinning but the input shaft will not be therefore making a noise from the pilot bearing...
if your release bearing is going south then you will hear a noise from it when you start to depress the clutch pedal, due to it contacting the release fingers when slightly depressed.
