well after i pulled my motor a couple of months ago, i looked at my Centerforce Dual Friction clutch to see that the disk is in ok shape, but the pressure plate is all beat to hell from those dang starter peices that were in the tranny, well the pessure plate seems to have a crack starting... so i am NOT having a clutch grenade on me so the question is what clutch are you guys running? i dont think i will be going back to the DF, i like the price of the RAM Powergrip HD and it says it holds up to 650 HP, is anyone using this clutch? i need one to hold about 550 HP.. let me know guys, thanks

I have a spec stage 3 and im happy with it for what it is, but its nothing special. Chirps 4th gear. Definitely has a personality you have to learn to work with - which most people arent willing to do.
Ive heard good things about the RAM clutches, but dont have any personal experience with it.-Joel

hmm thanks.. lol i can understand the whole personality thing.. as long as it holds up i wouldnt mind and i also want a good streetable clutch... my DF was good, pedal was pretty stiff, but to much money and you cant just buy clutch disks, which sucks!Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostI have a spec stage 3 and im happy with it for what it is, but its nothing special. yea the spec wants to be in or out. you dont ride out on a launch, you just let it out. It will chatter your teeth out if you try to do that but otherwise its happy. Its just fine on the street as long as you arent in gridlock.-Joel

yeah thats whats i thought you meant.. my centerforce was pretty good about not chattering, and i could ride it out pretty good.. but sometimes i would just drop it instead of riding it out.. are the specs pretty expensive?Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postyea the spec wants to be in or out. you dont ride out on a launch, you just let it out. Ive had a centerforce dual for about 4 years now and love it. Engagement is smooth, no chatter, seems to hold well, (well enough to break a couple 10 bolts, lol) and is easy for the wife to drive. Im not a big fan of the 600 dollar price tag my self, but unfortunately when this one goes, ill deffinately be buying another. Hope this helps, good luck, Eric L
