So I finally blew the rear end out of my 78. I've been looking for a replacement carrier, since when the spider gears snapped they fractured the housing. So my first question is, can I use a race spool instead of the carrier housing? Looking at a few different ones on Ebay. Anyone have any experience on if this would be ok. Car has a little over 475WHP.
Second question is, does anyone on the boards have a carrier housing laying around. I'd even take one if someone had a center diff they chopped off a car with a saws-all! No really though if anyone could help that's be great. Thanks for the help guys!
Parts needed are all for a 78 z28 Camaro. I would assume there are a few other years/models that would work too.
