Well I started to disassemble the tranny to see if I could see what was wrong with it and this is what I found upon removing the slave clutch...

And 1 inside the tranny...the case is cracked under the biggest gear on the bottom set...(couldn't get a good pic to show)
I really have no idea but I think that the bottom set of gears hit the case for some reason (still have to disassemble the tail section) and when that happened it tweaked the shaft ever so slightly and because of that it wore the slave to do what it did...Any opinions are welcome as I am puzzled how the case got cracked and the slave wore funny and cracked open...good news is the shavings didn't go in the case...bad news is my wallet is already crying with the thought of the repair bill
oh well good reason to go into debt!!! Probably end up sending it to Tick Shift Performance for a little tune up
