Dodge Auto A500 question

i have an A500se in my dakota, every now and then it would stick in first and not shift for a good 5 minutes, then it would shift into second and shift normal after that, so i dealt with it until it just would not come out of first. so i took the trans out and did a complete rebuild on it but the problem has not gone away. i trouble shot it and it lists two problems for my condition: 1. Front servo is going bad, i replaced the seals on the servo when i rebuilt the trans so im pretty sure i can rule that out. 2. governor component fault, so basically governor pressure solenoid, thermistor, or the governor pressure sensor (which in my model has the thermistor built in). i did an ohm test on the governor pressure solenoid and at roughly 75 degrees i got 5 ohms (which is in spec) so then i traced the wires from the trans connector to where they are supposed to go in the PCM and all the connections are good. i have it narrowed down to the governor pressure sensor, but i cant figure out how it could have gone bad, is this common for these transmissions or could it be something i'm overlooking?

The Governor solenoid should always be replaced on an o-haul. It's a total pos! Was the valve body completely gone thru? They tend to have spacer plate problems.

yes i went through the whole thing, i guess i could replace the spacer plate again since i have the trans ripped apart, but the solenoid tested ok, im not sure about the governor pressure sensor though
