tranny question.... ??

i have been buying a few older 94..95... 96 firebirds latly to take the parts off and use them on my 94 t/a i have a ? question about the tranny.. i havn't driven my t/a yet since i bought it but i do know the trans is slow going into gear so was going to pull it this winter and get it rebuilt but been finding out that they want a fortune to rebuild it (1000.00 up) its a 4l60e i believe.. and i have that little performance button as well.. now the question i have is

will the tranny from these v6 firebirds i been buying work in mine??? or did they use differant trannys for the v6

yeah thats kinda what i have heard.. bummer... well if you guys know of anyone looking or in need of a v6 tranny let me know.. i am pulling one this week and getting a whole new car to part out this week as well.. this one is almost to nice to part out .. but o well can make more on doing it.. lol its a 95 white firebird v6 navada car good condition.. 120.000 miles auto

The v-6 transmissions have a 27 spline input shaft and the converter is different as well.
