Disk Brake Conversion ?s

Obviously rotors

honestly, it'd be easier to just take the whole rear end. I vaguely remember backing plates, calipers, rotors, and something about the axles...

dont forget that you will need a proportioning valve off a disc brake car. otherwise your brakes will lock up badly. i need one as well, anybody have one for sale?

Is this only necessary if you use the stock drum rear end and only change the calipers? I swapped the entire drum rear end for a disk rear end and I haven't had any proportioning problems?

Not sure why itd be necessary. Back brakes dont do much on our cars anyway.

Yeah but i could take what i need a ton cheaper and easier then pulling a rear end at a junk yard. what holds on that braket that holds the caliper on

well if you can find one at the junk yard with good gears and posi i would do that. If not i would do the conversion kit thing. Its not a high priced as i would have thought.

I dont want the rear end. just whats needed to mount the disks brakes.
The rear in my car has about 5000 miles on it =)

If you're going to put rear disc brakes on it.. spend the extra money and upgrade it. Stock third gen brakes suck. That site link has TONS of low budget options.. just watch out.. some may not fit with stock wheels..

Can anyone post a pic what what the caliper should look like once installed? And can i take all teh shit for the e brake setup off of the caliper?
