Well, I actually have one of these - what it does, is electronically increase the pressures in the transmission without use of a shift kit or TCM tune.

I'd say with the shift kit, you're good to go as it is.

I'm thinking of turning my Shift-Plus off as well, since the TCM tune I got increased the pressures. It shifts hard as shit on the 1-2. I might turn it on only for drag racing.

Thanks man. I really didn't move a whole lot for once, so I didn't get a chance to check out your car, but from the pictures it looked pretty damn clean. One day I'm sure I'll be able to check it out.

I wouldnt run both if it were me. Trans cooler is way more important than that thing.

Run it inline and always AFTER the radiator otherwise your coolant will just heat it back up. I think optimal temp is like 160 but I'm not sure.

                    Used to own a Firebird.

Most good trans cooler kits come with everything you need. Rubber hose and the adapters needed. Look for a Hayden Transsaver. Do not get a tube/pipe and fin style, there worthless.

While mine is an LT1, I plumbed mine in using rubber tubing right infront of the radiator. I tapped into the steel line that was coming OUT from the radiator back to the transmission and diverted it into my trans cooler, then had the OUT line from the trans cooler going back to the transmission steel line. I then put my trans cooler up where the air horns are but we cut a hole in the splash guard so the air comes in before the air dam through vents (when you're under there looking at the splash guard, you'll see what I mean) and then it flows down through the cooler when it comes out of the splash guard.
