  • brake master cylinder

    When I put the 4th gen rear disc in my car do I have to change the master cylinder also? my car is a 3rd gen with drums

    this is what i have read into here is the link what i want to do is replace my master cylinder with a 4thgen one and see if that works out ...

            No, you don't HAVE to change the master cylinder, but it's not a bad idea if you go from drums to disks. I have been running the drum master in my car for 4 years after I swapped to a disc brake set-up with no problems...It just brakes a little heavy in the rear.

                          99 trans am... i can get a pic of it... i dont and wont sell junk, if it isnt good enough that i wont put it on my own personal car i wont sell it... and if it would work on my cadillac i wouldnt hesitate at all to put it on it if that tells you anything about its condition....

                          if your gonna be at the dyno day i can bring it there as is the case for any other part you may be interested in from my parts car..
