Can anyone possibly Lend a hand today after work?
im finishing up the install on my Redone Rear end in the dodge. Im isntalling the pinion all the bearings and the Diff with ring and axles again today. And it would make it easier for adjustments on the Threaded Adjusters that preload the carrier bearings..... And setting backlash would be made a little easier. I fried the Previous Carrier This time its all that went it put a few dings in my ring and pinion but the bearings are pretty much allshot. last time it blew it was the ring and pinion at 40K and the carrier was wearing down. This time it was mostly Carrier failure. I drained it and about 4 teeth fell out with the oil and upon cleaning it i found about another 8 Yay Dodge....... needless to say i wasnt happy.....

I planned on having it finished last night. but ran into a few hickups my air compressor died. Started locking up at 40 psi. and my Impact Was running weak. So i had to take the old Carrier up to My buddys shop and use their impact and compressor. and yay for today finishing it. Its not my first rear end but its my first Chrysler rear end.

understandable Brian. Its unfortunate im going to end up missing that Im going on a road trip next weekend. Just before our first lay off week. as we have 4 weeks this summer we are being laid off. I got a baseball trip to pittsburg, philly, baltimore and cleveland from friday til monday. 4 games 4 stadiums.

Wow - that sounds like a blast, John! Sucks about the lay off but atleast weekend will be awesome for ya with going to all those stadiums... I envy how much you get to travel.

the layoffs suck but at least its all staggered and we get to claim a weeks worth unemployment. Wohoo 360 bucks aweek yay beats the alternative of nothing being paid for that week. i rarely even travel anymore. just work at a desk and test Automotive components
