    Whatever! I'm not out there to beat the car up, just add some performance!

        Jeff,

        The car has a 160k on the odometer. All I'm trying to do is get it back to it's original condition, and add some performance. I'm not taking it to the track, or the Woodward Grand Nationals. Didn't mean to flame you either.

            Can't help but call it that. That's what it does is cover the front bumper. And anywhere you go to buy one, that's what is refered to as. What can I say! Facia !

              Um, I've always seen it called the bumper cover. And I've always called it that, and will because that is exactly what it is. No need to flame the guy.

              Richard, did you notice a big difference with the 3.73s, or just a little bit. I'm considering having it done to my car. And did you get your speedometer recalibrated?

                I didn't mean to flame anybody, it is what it is. Just trying a little dry humor with the facia bit. As for the 3.73 rearend which this thread is about. Yes I did notice a considerable improvement in acceleration, even in fourth and fifth gear. The speedometer pick up is a PMG. So that's something going to have to be recalibrated, as you mentioned. I'm looking into what needs to be done with that. In the mean time I'm going to get out on the expressway doing sixty and see how far I go in a minute. That will give me an idea of how far off it is. I really don't think its much, just from the around town driving I've done this weekend. Anyway I'm happy with the results. Now all thats left is getting the body in like new condition.

                BTW just call me Rick.

                  Haha, I was actually defending you Rick, telling that other guy to ease up a little bit, that I have always heard it called the bumper cover, and that I agree with you. Also, to figure out how far off your speedometer is, just multiply whatever speed you are going by 9%, since 3.73 is 9% higher than a 3.42. So, here are some quick conversion's for ya. Speed on the left is what you want to go, speed on the right is what your speedo will read.
                  30mph= 32.7mph
                  45mph= 49.05mph
                  55mph= 59.95mph
                  70mph= 76.3mph

                      Hi Kyle,

                      Thanks for the info, does that mean the tickets I get will be 9% higher? LOL!!!
