  • Torque arm Adjustment

Has anyone adjusted a Spohn Adjustable Torque arm? I had a 4 weel alignment on my car a few weeks ago and ever since then I have a horrible vibration over 80mph. I am hoping the alignment messed up the adjustment of the Torque arm or it is just out of adjustment. I have a rough Idea but never done it before. I didnt even know my car had the Torque arm untill a friend looked under the car and told me about it.

I have a UMI but they work on the same principle.

There should be 2 jam nuts that keep it from turning, just loosen them up and rotate the center hex nut.
Works just like a turn buckle.

You want apposing angles so if the trans is +2* then you want the rear at 0 - -2*.

Can also go the other way -2 and 2.

See from what I have heard you should never have the read end positive. I could be wrong tho.

There is a video on BMR's website on how to set the pinion angle. Here is the link, BMR Fabrications, it's right on the front page below the cars.

            0 is bad
-2 -3 is where you want it.
the way BMR shows it is pinion angle.(driveshaft to pinion)
To get a car to really work well at the track you ignore pinion angle and set driveline angle(pinion to chassis)
