So i picked some quartsof synthetic ATF that were on clearance at Wal Mart the other day. My question is, is it ok to use it in my transmission that was just rebuilt?

Dont quote me on this but I think its a no no, most tranny builders that I talked to when I was looking to get mine done said they'd never recommend it, "regular is fine", was the response I usually got. Now weather that means, "regular is fine dont waste your money on synthetic" or "regular is fine, dont use synthetic" I never really figured that out.
All I know is, just keep it cool.
Maybe mike will hop on here if he gets a spare moment.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

Wow I'll be pissed if I just wasted my money on this stuff. It was $3 a quart so I figured how could I go wrong (a whopping 3 cents more than wal mart brand). But I'm ordering an auxillary cooler on Monday so I should be pretty set.2015 Silverado

Your probably okay, but after having a powerglide rebuilt once I asked the guy if i should be running synthetic. His response "only if you have money burning a hole in your pocket".....sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
