Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

i just got my short throw shifter. didnt come with any instructions. i dont think it looks very hard at all to install but im timid with anything i have never done. any tips or words of wisdom?
heres some pics of the new shifter (stock knob on it)
Pretty sure that you gotta yank the console. Also, probably a good time to change your trans fluid as that is the easiest way to fill it since you can pour it right down the hole. And I think that most put RTV around the base, but I'm not positive on that, Joel might know.

Take the Center console out, then there was a rubber boot over the shifter that comes off, then the 4 bolts holding on the shifter. Definetly put RTV on there...whoever did mine b4 didn't do that and it came loose and was leaking fluid all over the bottom of my car.

Yup!
The little tabs in the bag that have the holes in them off center, those will let you install it forward or back of the stock location just a little bit.

And my B&M had a blue base on it that had B&M cut into it so if you don't see that then it could be a Pro 5.0 or Hurst.
