  • Spun stock 8.5" axle tubes

Had the car out working bugs out last night, stock 5.3, tremec tko600 thats faceplated, single disc McCloud clutch, 1330 ujoints, 3" shaft. Rolled into a 1-2 shift and spun the driveshaft into the floor. Spun both sides. Should have known it was coming. First for me, but its deffinately possible. Gear set, axles, and guts are all fine, just straight spun the pig straight up. Weld your tubes if you want to shift hard.

      is right, holy hell!

It's not like you were running any kind of stupid stick tire, either.

Nope just some used perellies, 245/45/17's it was a no lift shift, I still clutch some, but only 4100rpm deffinately wasn't a full send. The driveshaft lived fortunately. Trying to source a housing if anyone has a line. Just to make it through the fall.
