O.k. here is my problem!
I have a 93 TA with the T-56 and I have a BAD vibration problem @ 60mph.
From what I can tell it's speed related and not RPM because I can run 1st-?? till I hit 60-65mph before it kicks in an dthen won't go away till I get back down to 45 or so.
It don't matter what gear I'm in either so I don't know if it's even my trany giving me the problem but It's the only part I haven't replace in the whole car.
The motor is a 383, clutch is a Center Force Dual Frction, Fly Wheel is a SLP unit, motor mounts are new Energy Suspenssion, Trany mount is a Energy Suspenssion, UMI parts are Torque Arm, LCA's, Panhard Bar,
Drive Shaft is a 3" aftermarket unit, new U-joints, balanaced by Weller Automotive, Marosso U-Joint Girddles and the Rear end is a Ford 9" with 4.10's and a locker, tires are new and freshlly balance before winter.
I also replace the bearing in the tail end of the trany because it seemed to have more movement that it should.
Pinion angles are opposite of each other with the tranny being positive 2* and the rear being -2-4* with a fully loaded suspenssion.
Now before you say it the rear or the drive shaft is my problem I had this problem with the stock stuff & stock rear in the car so that is why I'm leaning twards the trany but then again that might not even be my problem??
I notice the problem at the M10 event 3yrs ago and it freaked me out!
This was after the new clutch/flywheel install.
I used Red thread lock on new ARP bolts all a round and torqued to spec.
Trany was also drained and had new fluit put in it and no I can't remember what kind but it was DOT aproved.
From what I know about the car this is the original trany with almost 90,000 on it.
I can fell the vibration in the seat of my pants, in my shifter handle and the stupid thing fells like it's going to come right through the floor of the car when it happens.
I have no vibration in my stearing wheel at all, smooth and steady there.
The motor is solid in the car and don't jump around like it's loose.
I'm looking for someone who can help me fix/find this problem!
I'm sick of not being able to enjoy the toy I have built
I'm also tired of laying on my back in my garage trying to fix this thing
I also found these guys on the net: http://ddperformance.com/
Anyone heard of them??
They are in Wixom, Mi. and would be a last resort if I need to rebuild the whole thing unless a site sponsor can do it and beat there price
Any ideas are welcome!
