  • Gears??

I was thinking about upgrading my gear ratio from stock 3.23 to somthing else. I don't think I really want 4.10's but I want something more aggressive than the stock gearing. Anyone have any suggestion's as to what I should get?

I would not put 4:10s in an auto car go with 3:73s

Get a converter 1st....... Than you wont even think about gears when you cant hook 1st and half of 2nd.

Dammit Campbell. I don't got that kinda money to throw around man. Gears and headers are affordable and we can install them ourselves. I'll bring the beer

So your going to pay $500 for gears and an install over another $200 for a converter that will yield better gains and you can install it yourself...

Well I'll help you put the headers in but I'm not touching that rear end...

ive heard gear install can be a tad tricky if you havent done it before for somethin like that i would probably look at taking it to a mechanic.

A gear swap is no problem but then again I've done like 20 of them and am ASE certified.

Just my .02 but in an A4 car I'd run 3.73 over a 4.10. I'm only planning on putting 3.90's in my car and I have an M6.

Broke 3 teeth off in my old WS6 due to a shitty install of 4.10s by the previous owner. The smell of that fluid literally makes me gag. That being said, it was a fun day of work to repair it.
