Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

yes that is correct, just run the BMR trans crossmember. any Tubular K-member will work as long as it's for an LS1. or, what i did, i ordered an AJE tubular K-member for my car. i ordered it uncoated and with out their motor mounts. made my own pedistal motor mounts so that i could lower the motor and set it as far back as possible (then i just had it powdercoated for $50). i'm pretty sure i could fit a carb style manifold with an elbow on top of my motor and clear the stock hood/cowl but with an actual carb it's hard to say, if you run an "out of the box" k member you will have to cut the cowl i'm sure.
I will probibly run a 3 or 4" cowl hood so I hope I don't have any problems
Do you have any pics of your setup??

I think he means the actual cowl on the car. COnsidering in these cars the engine sits up to high and back so far under the cowl, there isnt much room for anything but a stock intake.... You can trim your cowl to give you clearance, or what Matt is doing, and lowering his motor.
Dua, I should have known what he was talking about.
What a tard I am

no i don't have any pictures of my stuff. maybe when it's all said and done i'll have some stuff posted but for now i'm just keeping things underwraps.... but yeah the cowl i mean where the windshield ends at the bottom. there's the plastic part under the wiper arms and you will have to cut out the metal underneath to clear a carb most likely.
