  • How many quarts of fluid?

I just got my freshly rebuilt tranny...how much fluid does it hold (including filling the convertor) from dry?

of course those are factory capacities:

if you went with a larger pan or cooler youll need to add fluid to compensate

yeah i just did mine at the beginning of summer (a couple times). its a good 12-13 qts if you need to fill the converter too. seems like a lot, just keep checking. if you can get the wheels off the ground and car level and go through the gears around 10-11 qts, checking after adding.

also is it a stock converter? That would make a little difference if it was an aftermarket stall.

So, its full of fluid. Only thing is, if I go park to drive it acts like its in neutral for about 2 seconds, then it will grab the gear. Once it grabs, if you hit the gas it shudders and acts like its slipping. Do the process over again, and its fine. Now, if I go Park-2nd(or first), Drive its perfectly fine. What could be causing this (It has a transgo 4L60E-HD2 kit in it btw)?
