  • Is my rear Limited Slip?

I am preparing to change my diff fluid and I need to know if it's limited slip. Its a stock 2.73 on my Z28. Also, what is the best way to reseal the backing plate once I get the new gasket in place? RTV?

all Z28s are equipped with limited slip. and yes RTV is a good sealant.

      Thanks Joel,

What type of limited slip additive do you use?

Royal Purple already has it in it. That's what I used in my 99 and never had any problems. Here's a link.

are you able to remain sitting in a bathtub..? All indications would then make me think your rear is limited slip
