Well, I bought a second car about a week ago, Its a 1990 lincoln towncar and so far I love it. I had been keeping it under wraps till I could find my digi-cam to take some pictures but now Im having a problem with it and Im hoping somebody can tell me whats going on.

When I first bought my towncar the [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]power [COLOR=blue ! important]steering [/COLOR][COLOR=blue ! important]pump[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] was going and lines were pretty shot. So My buddy Andy and I ordered a new pump, had new lines put on and then installed the pump. It whined, alot. But every mechanic I talked to said it was fine and normal for it to do that, that it will just take time to wear in. So two weeks go by and Im going down I-696 and Poof! Smoke comes out from under the hood and out of the heater vents for about two seconds. all of the sudden the car is hard to steer, and I mean HARD! like wrestling a twinky from a fat kid hard. I get the car home and theres PS fluid all over and the damn thing blew its own cap off. So I later I come to find out the store gave me the wrong pump and that I needed the one that came with the EVO valve. Well I got the pump today and put it in and it sorta works. First off for some reason all the lines were full of some black crud ( keep in mind these were brand new a week ago) and when you turn the car on the [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]steering [COLOR=blue ! important]wheel[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] will actual turn itself left and then is really hard to turn back right. We flushed out the lines and its still doing it
Can anybody tell me what the heck is going on?
P.S ( Fun Fact) EVO stands for Electronic Variable Orifice
